The Dream Team’s S.E.E. M.E. Mentorship Program is an effort to provide youth between the ages of 16 – 24 with educational and employment opportunities through a series of enrichment activities and support services. The five-pillar acronym “S.E.E. M.E.” is a guide that informs the organization’s work, which focuses in the areas of support, education, employment, mentorship, and empowerment.
Program participants are assessed based on their needs in the areas of literacy, personal development, academic achievement, employability, and social support. They work closely with a mentor to identify target areas for growth, potential barriers, short-term and long-term goals. By collaborating with a diverse array of community volunteers, sponsors, and organizations; S.E.E. M.E. provides enriching workshops, training, and activities for participants. Individuals have access to opportunities, skills, resources, and relationships needed to realize their full potential. Participants will refine the skills needed to successfully manage their daily lives and help break the cycle of disconnection from education and economic activities in the target demographic.
